Your mission

You will join our Tech & Data Team, where you'll work on designing and implementing data solutions, from data pipelines to real-time analytics, in a supportive and collaborative environment.


Your daily work will include the following tasks:

  • You will be collaborating with ML engineers, developers and solution architects of our team.

  • You will analyze and document the functional and technical requirements that need to be fulfilled by the data pipelines and persistence mechanisms

  • Collaborate with ML engineers and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide them with clean, reliable, and easily accessible data for analysis and modeling.

  • You will work closely with our customers, developers, and solution architects to configure SaaS/PaaS systems according to requirements. 

  • Design and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into SaaS services, data warehouses, or data lakes.

  • Optimize data storage and retrieval by designing and implementing appropriate database schemas, indexes, and partitioning strategies.

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity by implementing data validation, cleansing, and enrichment processes.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to identify and resolve issues related to performance, data accuracy, or system failures.

  • Implement data security measures and access controls to protect sensitive information and comply with data privacy regulations.

  • Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, schemas, and integration processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure smooth handovers.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure the quality and reliability of data engineering solutions.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of libraries like pandas, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn, or others.

  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Python and tools like Luigi, Apache Airflow, or others.

  • Skills in problem-solving and analytical thinking.

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders.

  • Either a degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience of at least 3 years in this area. We value diverse educational and career backgrounds.


What else would be nice:

  • Understanding of data pipeline orchestration and scheduling.

  • Knowledge of data quality principles and techniques.

  • Awareness of data privacy regulations (GDPR) and its impact on data engineering.

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases.

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB or Cassandra, and their Python connectors.

  • Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Python libraries for API integration, such as requests or Flask.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools in the rapidly evolving field of data engineering.

  • Familiarity with Python-based machine learning libraries, such as scikit-learn or TensorFlow.

  • Ability to create visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar to present analytical findings and support decision-making processes.

  • Experience in developing analytics solutions by implementing algorithms to derive insights from data.
